Right now, if I create a new task that is associated with a Project, I have to manually select both the Project and larger Initiative to associate the parent Initiative. In other words, in the Tasks table, is it possible to cause Field 1 to auto populate if I complete Field 2? I am trying to create a setup that would automatically associate a Task linked to a Project with the parent Initiative, such that the Task becomes linked to both. Initiatives and Projects are both linked to Tasks (one-to-many), and Initiatives is also linked to Projects (one-to-many). I currently have 3 tables: Initiatives, Projects, and Tasks. I am attempting to build out a project/task management database, preferably capable of accounting for Projects within larger Initiatives, as well as their associated Tasks. What Airtable is good at is creating a database of entries for a specific use, so for example, making an internet registration form where a user can enter data and "register" their interest in a particular thing is so quick and easy to do.
